By preparing early and following up after your baby is born, you’ll feel more confident and supported — giving you and your newborn the best possible beginning to your feeding journey.

As a registered nurse, midwife, and lactation consultant, I understand the emotions that come with new motherhood and my goal is to make feeding feel calm, connected, and natural for both of you.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My name is Gretel Engelhardt and I have thirty years of nursing experience, I am a Registered nurse/midwife and certified lactation consultant.
I have 5 children of my own, a set of twins in the mix and at one time, I had 4 children under the age of 4. They are almost all adults now but one thing is for sure, I would never have made it through without support during the early days.
I was lucky enough to have amazing family and friends but I also had outside support via a home help service when I had my twins and ever since, I have been passionate about wanting to provide the valuable support that I received to other Mums - it eased those ‘rough’ times we all go through as new parents.
I am passionate about breatsfeeding and firmly believe that support in the early days and beyond is crucial. I have extensive knowledge in lactation and newborn care and an abundance of expertise in 'settling' and day to day routines that can be daunting for new parents in those exciting but challenging times.
I love to support and encourage parents to follow their own instincts and increase confidence in their new role.
